Shakespeare hates your emo poems.

Tearing Down Stars.

As I rip the stars down, they leave holes in the inky blackness,
Sobbing, gaping holes, belching strands of silver,
Vomiting creatures of myth, with long, fragile limbs and dewy eyes,
that clatter across the sky, and fade into the background.

The gaps in the night cry out again, and yet more silver thread coils out,
Falling and shattering into the ocean below them.
A mournful murmuring, like pipes and horns erupts from the tears,
Bursting out, breaking free, Pulling away from the cuts, unbottled,
The mutterings relish their new found freedom,
Ringing out across the waves, silencing everything but themselves.

My heart stops as I see the heavens burn,
Folding and glowing, twisting in beautifully choreographed agony.
The stars are dying in my hands now, writhing and wriggling,
Leaping through my fingers, only to sputter out on the floor.

I smile, and begin to unpin the sky.
